Who pays for this page
Somebody pays for every website. On this one it is our retail partner, and it costs you nothing. Here is exactly how that works, with no part of it left vague.
The arrangement
Every buy button here opens the piece at our retail partner, and the link carries a code saying the visit came from this catalogue. If an order follows, the partner pays us a share of it. That share comes out of their margin, not out of your total.
What it does not change
Not the price, not the postage, not what the partner will or will not do if something goes wrong. You pay exactly what anyone arriving there another way pays. There is no code to enter and nothing to opt into.
How it affects what gets listed
It decides that a catalogue exists at all, and it does not decide what goes in it. Pieces are sorted by surface because that is what changes how a photograph prints. The notes say when a surface is a bad idea, which is not a sentence written to sell anything.
Where the numbers on this site come from
Prices, ratings and buyer counts are read from the partner’s own listings when the catalogue is built, and they are a snapshot of that moment. We do not invent a rating, round a review count up, or show a star average for a piece that has none.
Why every button is marked
The strip at the top of every page says links here are paid placements, and the footer says it again. Burying that in a page nobody opens would be the cheap way to do it.
Plainly
- We are paid a commission when a link here leads to an order.
- The commission comes from our retail partner, not from your price.
- Ratings and prices are read from live listings, never invented.
- The disclosure sits on every page, not only this one.

Four questions people ask about this
Do I pay more?
No. The listing price at our retail partner is the same whether you arrive from here or from a search.
Are the reviews yours?
No, and we do not write any. Star averages and buyer counts are read from the partner’s listing.
Can you be talked into a listing?
The catalogue is built from what the press actually prints. There is no paid slot to buy.
Who wrote the descriptions?
People at the bench, looking at the piece and at what the surface does to a photograph.
